Red-mapple RocketMan

For Immediate Release:

ORLANDO, FL Mapple Sports is thrilled to host the first Mapple Pro-Am Challenge in conjunction with the famed Rocketman Night Jump.

The Mapple Pro-Am Challenge event will be a one of a kind event for both Pros and Amateurs competing against each other for cash and prizes.

“We are very excited and motivated to not only have our very first Mapple Pro Am, but to host Scot Ellis and his famed Rocketman Night jump taking place at the Mapple Performance Center facilities in Orlando FL” commented Andy Mapple, owner of Mapple Skis and 11 time world record holder.

As the slalom skiing wraps up and the sun is going down, the greatest jumpers in the world will take to the water. Spectacular does not describe the scene of a jumper, behind a Nautique 200, in the dark, under lights going over 230’ where you feel you could reach out and touch them. That is the “Rocketman”!

“Jumping at night under lights is an adrenaline rush second to none. The speed, the fear factor, the roars of the crowd, the lights, it is indescribable, as the skiers push to limits to take home the Rocketman title,” says Scot Ellis, 8 time World Cup Jump Champion.

Come and join the action November 1, 2014 at the Mapple Performance Center, corner of Sand Lake Rd and John Young Parkway in Orlando, FL.

Mapple Skis ( and Mapple Performance Center ( are local Orlando companies providing water-skiers what they need to reach levels they dream about.
